Fave Chinese/Tai movies or TV

Post  katdgrant on Sun Aug 17, 2008 2:23 pm

Well to be honest I have only watched 2 movies that were Chinese, Love on a Diet ~ filmed in Japan and they speak a bit of Japanese but the main characters are Chinese. That and of course Crouching tiger, hidden dragon ((I love Ziyi Zhang)).

I haven't seen that many Chinese movies either... I sat the dragon one a long time ago, The Lover and The Joy Luck Club (which is a movie made after a book with the same name)

As for Taiwanese, I saw one drama called "It started with a kiss" I find their dramas very childish so I couldn't really get into any other drama except this one...

However, Chinese movies are a lot more mature Smile I tried watching "Lust, Caution" a few days ago but in the end I ended up not watching it Razz However I'm sure I'll go back and finish it Smile Have you guys seen it? I heard it was really good, but I couldn't get into it... Should I try again?

I try to finish every movie to the end Wink as I find most Chinese movies take a while to get to the point sometimes, but others are good!! I heard that another book says that the character in Crouching tiger, lives from the fall and they both live in the desert and have a child.

I only like these two series that was translated into viet back in the 80s. one is about this guy who befriends and learns martial arts from a giant eagle/hawk. another is journey from the west 1986. best dam version. I haven't really seen other stuff besides jackie chan movies which are usually good and entertaining. his like a real life cartoon hero lol.
