Basic info about SE Asia

You can see the influences in their common practices, the food, and generally the way people act. the old generation was influenced by the French so they act different than the new generation which is influenced by pop culture.

"Concerning Vietnamese, they also used to use Chinese characters, but during the French colonisation, a priest invented the Vietnamese alphabets and replaced the Chinese characters by these alphabets. Vietnamese language also have a lots of Chinese words. But it is not true that a Vietnamese person can learn French easily, because even if they use alphabets (which is different from the French alphabets; because Vietnamese have a lots of accents that do not exist in the French alphabets), the Vietnamese alphabets only phonetically express the Vietnamese language which is, as you might have guess very different from the French language (although there are, I think, many French words in the Vietnamese language)."

Hey Victoria, you forgot what I said about Vietnam (Asians and Asians)!!
